Putin promises support to business in Russia, ASEAN countries
SOCHI. May 20 (Interfax) - Russian President Vladimir Putin has promised to take all necessary efforts to support business in Russia and in the ASEAN space.
"We will do everything to support - I am now addressing representatives of the business community, above all - to create conditions for your joint work, both on the Russian market and on the market of the ASEAN countries," Putin said during a meeting between businessmen and the leaders of Russia and the ASEAN countries in Sochi on Friday.
He said Russia and many ASEAN countries historically have deep relations. "It's a very good foundation for developing relations on a contemporary basis," Putin said.
The president added that Russia is also developing partnership relations with those ASEAN countries with which cooperation was established not long ago.
