Cuba, Algeria and Angola to sign with Russia agreements on mutual protection of results of intellectual activity in military-technical cooperation - FSMTC
MOSCOW. May 25 (Interfax-AVN) - Moscow is expanding the range of its partners in military-technical cooperation and another three countries will soon sign agreements with Russia on the mutual protection of results of intellectual activities in military-technical cooperation, Andrei Boitsov, first deputy director of the Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation (FSMTC), said.
"In the very near future, we plan to sign agreements [on mutual protection of results of intellectual activities in military-technical cooperation] with Cuba, Algeria and Angola," Boitsov said at a Rospatent collegium meeting.
Over 30 countries now have such agreements with Russia; specifically, agreements were signed in 2015 with the UAE, Serbia, Egypt and Laos, Boitsov said.
"Bilateral working groups have been formed with some countries - China, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan and the Czech Republic - for the implementation of these agreements," he said.
"We believe that this work should also continue with other countries that are actively buying Russian military-purpose products," Boitsov said.
He said the necessary legislation for military-technical cooperation with foreign countries has been formed in Russia at the state level.
