Post Bank begins issuing virtual debit cards
MOSCOW. May 25 (Interfax) - Russia's Post Bank has begun issuing virtual cards for online purchases of goods and services, the bank said in a statement.
The virtual cards operate like electronic wallets and can be topped up via ATMs and using mobile and internet banking transfers.
Post Bank, formed in 2016 on the basis of Leto Bank, is a subsidiary of VTB and Russian Post. It was the 92nd biggest Russian bank by assets, the 280th biggest by deposits and the 25th biggest by retail loans as of the end of the first quarter of 2016 according to the Interfax-100 ranking compiled by the Center for Economic Analysis.
