Greek president notes importance of close cooperation among Moscow, Brussels, Washington for settling Syrian crisis
ATHENS. May 27 (Interfax) - Cooperation between Russia, the United States and the European Union is important for ending the war in the Middle East, and in particular, in Syria, Greek President Prokopis Pavlopoulos said.
"I would like to note how important close and sincere cooperation between Russia, the U.S. and the EU is for the war in the Middle East and in Syria, in particular, to finally be over," he said at a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin on Friday.
Only such an outcome can lead to an effective solution to Europe's refugee problem, the Greek president said.
