Opposition, rights campaigners decide to hold 30,000-strong march in Moscow on June 13

MOSCOW. May 27 (Interfax) - Opposition political and human rights movements are going to hold a thousands-strong protest in Moscow on June 13.

"Our application for a march with up to 30,000 participants will be filed to the Moscow City Hall on Monday. We want to march from Pushkinskaya Square down the boulevards and rally in Sakharov Prospect," opposition activist Alexander Ryklin, who is also a senior member of the Solidarnost (solidarity) movement, told Interfax on Friday.

"A big pool of applicants has been formed, among whom are Lyudmila Alexeyeva, Vladimir Voinovich, Svetlana Gannushkina, Dmitry Gudkov, Lev Ponomaryov," Ryklin said.

The event is being organized by the Protest Actions Committee, Solidarity, and the Parnas, Yabloko and December 5 parties, he said.

The name of the march will be chosen during a public discussion, Ryklin said.
