Rosatom plans to build nuclear technology center in Zambia
MOSCOW. May 31 (Interfax) - Russian Nuclear Corporation Rosatom plans to construct a center for nuclear technology in Zambia, the state corporation's head, Sergei Kiriyenko, said at the signing ceremony for the corresponding intergovernmental agreement at the AtomExpo 2016 forum.
He said that Rosatom welcomes Zambia's wish to develop nuclear energy. The signed intergovernmental agreement creates the relevant legal framework providing the opportunity for the construction of nuclear power plants.
