Production of cars in Russia falls 21.7% in April to 96,000

MOSCOW. June 2 (Interfax) - The production of cars in Russia fell 21.7% in April to 96,000 cars, the Russian Federal Statistics Service (Rosstat) said in materials.

The production of trucks in Russian in April was practically unchanged in comparison with April 2015 at 12,000.

The production of buses, Rosstat said, rose 7.6% in April to 3,300.

It was reported earlier that the production of cars in Russia in January-April 2016 amounted to 345,000 cars, down 25.1% from a year earlier.

The production of trucks (including chassis) in the 4M 2016 rose 10% to 37,900 and that of buses fell 3.7% to 9,300 units.
