Russian customs revenue up for first time in over a year on higher oil
MOSCOW. June 3 (Interfax) - The Russian Federal Customs Service (FCS) transferred 1.583 trillion rubles to the Russian budget in January-May 2016, down 15.6% year-on-year, the service said in materials.
In January-May 2015 the FCS transferred 1.875 trillion rubles to the Russian budget.
Customs revenue grew on a year-on-year basis for the first time since the beginning of 2015 in May alone, up 4.1% to 320.17 billion rubles, from 308 billion rubles in the same month of 2015.
Russia's main export commodity, crude oil, went up roughly 10% in price in May.
FCS chief Andrei Belyaninov has said the year's customs revenue target was 4.733 trillion rubles.
