Court receives Vladivostok mayor's lawyers' appeal contesting his arrest, date of hearing not yet scheduled
MOSCOW. June 6 (Interfax) - The defense lawyers for Vladivostok Mayor Igor Pushkaryov, who is accused of abuse of office and corrupt business practices, have contested his arrest.
"The Basmanny Court has received an appeal filed by lawyer Vysotsky, who represents the interests of the accused Pushkaryov, contesting his arrest," court press officer Yunona Tsaryova told Interfax.
She said the date of the hearing has not been scheduled yet.
The Moscow Basmanny Court earlier arrested Pushkaryov until July 31.
