Lukoil might decide on Eurobonds in H2, markets permitting
MOSCOW. June 6 (Interfax) - Lukoil is mulling a Eurobond issue but has not yet reached a decision, Pavel Zhdanov, head of the oil company's capital markets and M&A division, said on a conference call.
The company might decide on a Eurobond placement in H2 2016, depending on the market conditions, he said.
Zhdanov said the company was not planning any major M&A deals abroad. They might take pace in Russia if Lukoil takes part in the privatization of Bashneft , but a decision on this has not yet been reached because the terms of the privatization are not yet clear. Zhdanov said Lukoil would not buy Bashneft for any price, but would be guided by the cost-effectiveness of buying it.
