Russia starting on June 7 bans meat imports from two firms in Brazil, Argentina
MOSCOW. June 7 (Interfax) - Rosselkhoznadzor on June 7 is banning the supplies of poultry meat from one Brazilian firm and beef and beef byproducts from an Argentinean firm.
The service said that in Brazil the ban affected the company JBS AVES LTDA (N922) and in Argentina - Madeka S.A. (N 3675).
The reason for this decision is the discovery of listeria bacteria.
Currently 58 poultry farms in Brazil have the right to export their products to Russia. The supply of products is banned from eight of them due to violations of Russian veterinary requirements.
On the list of beef suppliers from Argentina, there are 74 companies, the imports of eight of them are also banned due to breaches of veterinary requirements.
