Ukrainian military register 20 attacks on their positions in Donbas as of 6:00 p.m. on Thursday

KYIV. June 9 (Interfax) - Ukrainian troops came under fire twenty times in the area of the special operation in southeastern Ukraine as of 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 9.

"Our fortifications continue coming under fire on the Donetsk track. The enemy used 82 mm caliber mortars three times near Nevelske, and they fired from large-caliber machine-guns and grenade launchers of various systems near Avdiyivka," the press center for the special operation said on Facebook on Thursday evening.

In the area of the Putilovskaya mine, according to the headquarters, the enemy used 120 mm caliber heavy mortars.

It was also reported that the enemy opened fire on Ukrainian support points near Krasnogorovka and Maryinka on the Mariupol track using grenade launchers, combat infantry vehicles and mortars. The positions in the Novotroitske area came under fire twice from heavy mortars and 152 mm caliber artillery.

"In the Luhansk region, two shots were fired from a hand anti-tank grenade launcher in the direction of the checkpoint Stanichno-Luhanske at 8:00 a.m.," the report said.
