Six people who swore allegiance to ISIL detained in Ingushetia

MAGAS, Ingushetia. June 10 (Interfax) - Security forces detained six people suspected of belonging to illegal armed units in a special operation in the Sunzha district of Ingushetia, the Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) department for Ingushetia told Interfax on Friday.

"Operatives detained six members of illegal armed units who swore allegiance to the terrorist organization Islamic State banned in Russian territory," an FSB spokesperson said.

An improvised explosive device ready for action, components and a manual for manufacturing an explosive device, numerous grenades, a Kalashnikov assault rifle, and a large amount of ammunition for it were seized from the detainees' homes and workplaces.

An investigation against the said people is currently under way, he said.
