Five truce breaches recorded in Syria in past 24 hours - Russian Defense Ministry
MOSCOW. June 14 (Interfax-AVN) - Five truce violations have been committed in Syria in the past 24 hours, the Russian Defense Ministry said.
"The cessation of hostilities regime has been observed in the majority of provinces of the Syrian Arab Republic in the past 24 hours. Five violations have been recorded in the Damascus province in the past 24 hours," the Russian center for reconciliation of the opposing sides in Syria said. The center's report was published on the Russian Defense Ministry's website on Monday.
Units of Jaysh al-Islam, which claims to be an opposition group, twice fired mortars on Syrian armed forces' positions in Arbil, and three times on the village of Harasta al-Basal, it said.
"The Russian Aerospace Forces and the Syrian Air Force have not conducted strikes on those opposition paramilitary units that have joined the cessation of hostilities and have informed the Russian and American centers for reconciliation of their whereabouts," it said.
