Juncker intends to have frank conversation with Putin on various issues

STRELNA. June 16 (Interfax) - European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker, in a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin, said that he would like to frankly talk about some issues, as it has happened in previous years.

Juncker said at the beginning of the meeting, that he is happy to come to St. Petersburg, although not all European partners supported his decision.

Some people in Europe disagreed with that idea, Juncker said, adding that he likes it because discussions are needed at moments when problems arise.

Juncker said he would like to frankly exchange opinions with the Russian president on various issues.
