France may deport 20 Russian fans on June 18 - Russian embassy

MOSCOW/PARIS. June 17 (Interfax) - Twenty Russian football fans, who are being held in a temporary administrative detention center in Marseille, may be deported on Saturday, Russian Embassy in Paris spokesman Sergei Parinov told Interfax.

"Possibly, it may happen on Saturday, but we are not strongly confident about that," Parinov said, replying to a question as to when 20 Russian fans would be deported from France.

Commenting on the situation with three Russians who have been convicted of participation in the brawls in Marseille, Parinov said, "the current situation is that today the general consulate officials will meet with them and their lawyers."

A decision on two fans detained in Lille has not yet been adopted, he said. Most likely, the decision on their fate will be made on Friday.
