Golodets orders to immediately check qualifications of summer children's camps staff
MOSCOW. June 20 (Interfax) - Russian Deputy Prime Minister Olga Golodets has demanded to conduct an inspection of personnel qualifications of all children's camps and summer recreation facilities.
"The investigation will establish why unqualified people were brought to work with children. But now, it is necessary to inspect whether every camp is staffed with qualified counselors. We trained them, and where are they? Why did the counselors allow the children to take such a hike? [It is necessary] to check the qualification of the instructors; no instructor is allowed to take the children out, and all the safety regulations were violated, one does not need the Investigative Committee to know that," Golodets said during an unscheduled teleconference in Russian government on Monday.
"The inspection needs to be conducted immediately," she said.
