Chemezov reelected as Uralkali board chairman
MOSCOW. June 22 (Interfax) - The board of directors of Uralkali reelected Rostec head Sergey Chemezov as the chairman of the board of directors of the company at a meeting on June 22, the potash miner said.
Independent director Robert Margetts and UralChem board chairman Dmitry Mazepin will be deputy chairman of the Uralkali board.
The shareholders elected a new board of directors at their AGM on June 17. The new board members include the former head of the International Fertilizer Association (IFA) Luc Maene who replaced the representative of China's Chengdong Investment Corporation (CIC) who sold his shares in Uralkali last year.
The following board members kept their positions: UralChem board of directors head Dmitry Mazepin, UralChem CEO Dmitry Konyaev, former UralChem CEO Dmitry Osipov, Onexim CEO Dmitry Razumov and Onexim Deputy CEO Mikhail Sosnovsky, and the head of the state Rostec cooperation Sergei Chemezov and the independent directors Robert Margetts and Paul Ostling.
The company's main shareholders include Onexim (20%) and UralChem (19.99%). A further 52% is a quasi-treasury stake and the free float is around 8%.
