SCO expansion considerable move made thanks to unprecedented level of Russian-Chinese cooperation - Putin

MOSCOW. June 30 (Interfax) - Russian President Vladimir Putin noted China's important role in the expansion of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO).

"We switched the Organization's expansion to the practical track through involving India and Pakistan. This is a truly significant political move," Putin said at a meeting with Russian ambassadors on Thursday.

This move "became possible thanks to the unprecedented level of cooperation and trust between Russia and China," he said.
