Rosturizm working on restoration of cooperation with Turkey, security issues prioritized
MOSCOW. June 30 (Interfax) - Rosturizm has already begun working on the restoration of cooperation with Ankara, ensuring security of tourists is in the focus, the agency's statement said.
"The Federal Tourism Agency is presently working on the restoration of cooperation with the Republic of Turkey in the tourism area. The issues of ensuring security to Russian tourists during the vacation and trips in this country will be prioritized," the agency's website said in a statement.
Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed a decree, which allowed the travelling of Russian tourists to Turkey and charter flights between the two countries, the Kremlin press service said on Thursday.
"Hence, the ban on the sale of tours to Turkey is lifted," Rosturizm said in a statement.
