Finland's defense agreements with UK, U.S. should not be over-dramatized - Finnish president

NAANTALI, Finland. July 1 (Interfax) - Finland's defense agreements with the United Kingdom and United States are purely technical and should not be dramatized, Finnish President Sauli Niinisto said.

"There is nothing dramatic about the news that we heard today concerning agreements between Finland and the United Kingdom and between Finland and the U.S. In fact, they are technical in nature and specify already existing provisions and state of affairs," Niinisto said at a press conference following negotiations with Russian President Vladimir Putin on Friday.
