Lavrov, Steinmeier discuss work in Normandy format, prospects for Nagorno-Karabakh settlement
MOSCOW. July 2 (Interfax) - Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier had a telephone conversation on Friday, the Russian Defense Ministry reported on Saturday.
"Special significance was attached to the work in the Normandy format on implementing the Minsk Agreements on ways to overcome the Ukraine crisis and prospects for promoting a Nagorno-Karabakh settlement, taking into consideration the outcomes of the German minister's visit to Yerevan and Baku in his capacity as the OSCE chairperson-in-office," the statement available on the Russian Foreign Ministry website says.
"The ministers discussed various aspects of the Russian-German agenda and exchanged opinions on key international problems," it said.
