Jabhat al-Nusra militants shell towns in 3 Syrian provinces in past 24 hours - Russian Defense Ministry

MOSCOW. July 5 (Interfax) - Militants from the Jabhat al-Nusra terrorist group, outlawed in Russia, continue to conduct strikes in a number of Syrian provinces, the Russian Defense Ministry said.

"Groups of the Jabhat al-Nusra international terrorist organization continue to obstruct the final establishment of the cessation of hostilities regime," the Russian center for reconciliation of the opposing sides in Syria said.

In the past 24 hours, terrorists have shelled the populated localities of Huteita Al-Jarash, Harasta Al-Qantara, Al-Bahariyah, Al-Qabun and Maydaa in the Damascus province, as well as Fu'ah in the Idlib province, the Russian Defense Ministry said.

"Terrorists used multiple-launch rocket systems and mortars against the populated localities of Handrat and Al-Hader in the Aleppo province, as well as the neighborhoods of Sheikh Maqsood, Halab Al-Jalil and Al-Nayrab airport in the city of Aleppo," it said.
