Russian, EU representatives discuss security in C. Asia, cooperation possibilities - Russian Foreign Ministry
MOSCOW. July 6 (Interfax) - Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Grigory Karasin and the European Union's Special Representative for Central Asia Peter Burian have discussed security issues, the Russian Foreign Ministry said.
"At the meeting, the parties discussed the situation in the Central Asian region, including the security issues and the possibilities of the EU-Russia cooperation, the problem of water use in the region, and bilateral relations with the Central Asian countries," the ministry said in a statement published on its website on Wednesday.
