Russian lawyers expect positive court ruling on Russian track and field athletes - ROC

MOSCOW. July 7 (Interfax) - Russian lawyers hope the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) in Lausanne will deliver a positive ruling with respect to Russian track and field athletes, according to Alexandra Brillliantova, head of the legal department of the Russian Olympic Committee (ROC).

"Our lawyers see this case as quite promising," she told journalists in Moscow on Thursday.

A CAS ruling is always final, she added.

Brilliantova said earlier that a CAS decision in the case of Russian track and field athletes, who were barred from the Olympics by the International Association of Athletics Federations, will be sent to the parties on July 21.
