Medvedev gives ministries 1 week to present proposals on resuming charter flights to/from Turkey

MOSCOW. July 8 (Interfax) - Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev has instructed the Transport Ministry, Culture Ministry, and Foreign Ministry, along with other agencies concerned, to present coordinated proposals to the government within one week on resuming charter flights between Russia and Turkey, the government press service reported.

Medvedev insisted that special significance be attached "to the need to adopt extra measures to ensure transport safety and rule out the possibility of flights to areas of increased terrorist danger."

Medvedev's instruction follows up on President Vladimir Putin's decree of June 30 on the normalization of bilateral relations with Turkey.
