Baku sees relations with Moscow as strategic - Azerbaijani foreign minister
BAKU. July 12 (Interfax) - Relations between Baku and Moscow are strategic, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov said.
"Baku sees relations with Moscow as a partnership; they have a strategic nature," Mammadyarov said on Tuesday at a joint press conference with Russian colleague Sergei Lavrov.
He said the level of bilateral political interaction was "high".
The sides have agreed to hold the next meeting of the Azerbaijani-Russian Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation, Mammadyarov said.
The Azerbaijani foreign minister also noted the importance of creating the North-South transport corridor.
