Putin to hold first budget process conference on Tuesday to focus on security budget - Peskov
MOSCOW. July 12 (Interfax) - Russian President Vladimir Putin will hold the first budget process conference in the Kremlin on Tuesday; the conference will be devoted to the formation of a security budget, Kremlin press secretary Dmitry Peskov said.
"Making of first estimates gradually begins in the budget process. Today the president will address security budget issues in the initial, far approximation. We are expecting the president to chair a rather extensive conference," Peskov told the press.
In his words, the conference will be attended by Security Council Secretary Nikolai Patrushev, Presidential Aide for Economy Issues Andrei Belousov, Presidential Aide Konstantin Chuichenko, Interior Minister Vladimir Kolokoltsev, Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu, Finance Minister Anton Siluanov, Audit Chamber Chairperson Tatiana Golikova, National Guard Commander Viktor Zolotov, Federal Security Service head Alexander Bortnikov, General Staff Chief Valery Gerasimov and a number of Defense Ministry representatives.
"This is a rather serious conference. This process is not a one-time affair, it will stretch out in time. The budget process begins with these complex subjects," Peskov said.
