Uralkhimmash signs memorandum on cooperation with India's SRB International

YEKATERINBURG. July 14 (Interfax) - Uralkhimmash , a division of Russia's United Heavy Machinery Plants (OMZ) , and India's SRB International Pvt. Ltd. signed a letter of intent within the context of long-term cooperation at the Innoprom exhibition, Uralkhimmash said.

The companies have agreed on the regulation of joint activities in construction, reconstruction and modernization projects that are being carried out in India by oil and gas, petrochemical and chemical companies.

Uralkhimmash has determined to develop exports as part of efforts to develop new markets, and sees India as the main market for increasing exports, Uralkhimmash general director Oleg Chernov told reporters after the signing.

"SRB is the partner that will help us enter this market. Uralkhimmash plans to supply electrolysis equipment for energy facilities and heat exchange equipment. This is the main thing for now," Chernov said.

SRB will help Uralkhimmash participate in tenders, taking into account all of the nuances of Indian legislation, he said.

There are currently many investors in India prepared to invest in the oil and gas sector, and Uralkhimmash has two or three very interesting products at the moment, SRB International CEO Bharat Gandhi.

The companies will now work more specifically on promoting Uralkhimmash's products in India, Gandhi said, adding that there are two or three tenders next month in which they could bid with the Russian plant's products.
