SAS plane en route from Shanghai to Copenhagen makes unscheduled landing in Novosibirsk

NOVOSIBIRSK. July 14 (Interfax) - An Airbus plane of Scandinavian Airlines System (SAS), which was en route from Shanghai to Copenhagen, has landed at Novosibirsk Tolmachevo Airport, the airport's press service told Interfax.

"The SAS plane has landed at 07:40 p.m. local time upon the crew's decision," the press service said.

In addition, the head of the Russian Investigative Committee's West Siberian Investigative Department for transport Yana Strizheva said that the decision to conduct a check has not yet been reached.

Earlier it was reported that a SAS plane, which was en route from Shanghai to Copenhagen, was getting ready for an emergency landing in Novosibirsk due to depressurization. The crew reported about depressurization in the area of Abakan.
