Surkov meeting with Abkhazian leader

SUKHUM. July 18 (Interfax) - Russian presidential aide Vladislav Surkov arrived in Abkhazia on a working visit on Monday. He began his meeting with the president of the republic, Raul Khadjimba, in the Abkhazian resort town of Gagra.

"Vladislav Surkov and Raul Khadjimba are discussing progress in implementing the alliance and strategic partnership agreement signed by the presidents of Russia and Abkhazia on November 24, 2014, and the implementation of a comprehensive program of assistance for Abkhazia's socio-economic development in 2015," the Abkhazian leader's press office told Interfax.
