Talks over Russian football team coach candidate to be ended by July 30, post still vacant - RFU
MOSCOW. July 18 (Interfax) - The head coach of the Russian football team will be appointed before July 30, the Russian Football Union (RFU) said.
"The Russian Football Union hereby officially informs that no head coach has been appointed for the Russian national team at this point. The process of negotiations over the candidate is due to be completed before July 30," the RFU spokesperson said.
"The RFU will publish all necessary information on its official site as and when it receives such information," the spokesperson said.
Earlier media reports said that the former manager of the Spartak and Dynamo football clubs, Stanislav Cherchesov, became a new head coach of the national team.
