Russian Investigative Committee's Main Investigative Directorate for Moscow 1st deputy head arrested on suspicion of official crimes - source
MOSCOW. July 19 (Interfax) - First Deputy Chief of the Russian Investigative Committee's Main Investigative Directorate for Moscow Maj. Gen. of justice Denis Nikandrov has been arrested by an investigator of the committee's Central Office on suspicion of malfeasance in office, a source in law enforcement structures told Interfax.
"Today during the investigative activities the officials of the Russian Investigative Committee Central Office have arrested Nikandrov at his workplace. He is suspected of malfeasance in office," the source said.
Moreover, the source said that Mikhail Maksimenko, head of Internal Investigations Directorate of the Russian Investigative Committee, was also arrested.
The source said that documents are currently being seized in several offices in the Main Investigative Directorate for Moscow of the Russian Investigative Committee.
