Rosturizm calls Russians in Turkey to be watchful and avoid demonstrations

MOSCOW. July 22 (Interfax) - The Federal Agency for Tourism (Rosturizm) due to resuming air travel to Turkey once again reminded the Russians of observance of safety precautions while staying in this country.

"Rosturizm brings to attention that the state of emergency was declared in the territory of the country which will be in force until October. The Russian tour operators are recommended to inform the clients accurately regarding safety provisions in the territory of Turkey," the agency said in a statement posted on its official website on Friday.

Rosturizm calls Russians planning to visit the country "to be watchful, observe safety precautions, avoid public rallies and demonstrations, keep track on incoming information, and obey the orders of the legitimate authorities of the Republic of Turkey."

The Russian Air Transport Agency (Rosaviatsiya) lifted the ban on the regular flights between Russia and Turkey on Friday.

The ban was put on the flights on July 16 following the attempt of a military coup in Turkey.

In late June Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree lifting the restrictions on sales of tours to Turkey. The Russian tour operators resumed selling the tours via regular flights since July 1. In the meantime, the tour operators wait for the permission to organize charter flights, which, according to the expert estimations, will allow to lower cost of tours to Turkey for 20-30%.
