Antipinsky refinery submits application for participation in Bashneft privatization

MOSCOW. July 26 (Interfax) - The Antipinsky Oil Refinery in Tyumen has submitted an application for participating in the privatization of Bashneft .

"We received the proposal on participating in the privatization of Bashneft, we submitted an application," a refinery representative told Interfax.

Last week it was reported that the consultant on the privatization of Bashneft, VTB Capital had sent out invitations to participate in the privatization to a number of major companies and investment funds. VTB Capital accepted bids from potential buyers until the evening of July 25.

VTB Capital declined to comment Monday evening on information about interested parties. "We're not commenting on the course of negotiations with potential participants in the deal," the VTB group's press service told Interfax.

So far, Lukoil, Independent Petroleum Company (IPC) of former Rosneft head Eduard Khudainatov and the little-known company Tatneftegaz have said they were interested in participating in the Bashneft privatization. According to Interfax sources, Lukoil and IPC have confirmed their interest in the privatization and submitted their applications.
