Names from McLaren list disclosed only to intl sport federations - Zhukov

MOSCOW. July 26 (Interfax) - The names of Russian athletes mentioned in Richard McLaren's WADA report will be sent only to international sports federations, and Russia will not obtain the full list, Russian Olympic Committee President Alexander Zhukov said.

"International sports federations are informed about names from the McLaren list," Zhukov told reporters, replying to an Interfax question.

Once an international sports federation is given the names, it shall pass the information to the relevant Russian sports federation, he said.

Russian Sports Minister Vitaly Mutko told the press on Monday that Russia would demand that the names of athletes mentioned in the WADA report be disclosed. He noted that the list of athletes whose doping test samples were allegedly switched at the Sochi Games had been drawn up by former head of the Moscow anti-doping laboratory Grigory Rodchenkov, who seemed to be the only person in possession of that list.
