Iran planning to soon discuss options for contracts with Russian oil companies
MOSCOW. July 29 (Interfax) - Iran is planning to discuss options soon for oil contracts with Russian market participants, Iranian Information and Communications Technology Minister and co-chairman of the Russian-Iranian intergovernmental commission Mahmoud Vaezi told journalists.
"The stages on this contract have passed, and we will soon discuss it with our Russian colleagues. As concerns these fields, about which we spoke, negotiations are underway. With account of the scale of our relations, with account of the amount of work put into creating the working group on energy, this may be very effective," Vaezi said.
"The chairmen of this working group for energy will be the deputy oil minister of Iran and the deputy energy minister of Russia," he said.
The Iranian minister said: "The creation of such a working group speaks to the importance of relations between our countries."
