Two attackers of Yerevan police building surrender, another two hospitalized - source
YEREVAN. July 31 (Interfax) - Two armed attackers of a police building in Yerevan have surrendered to the authorities, another two were injured and have been hospitalized, a source in the republic's law enforcement agencies told Interfax on Sunday.
"Since early hours up to the present, two people from the regiment's grounds have surrendered voluntarily, two were injured and hospitalized," the source said.
Sounds of gunfire and explosions are now audible from the grounds.
In all likelihood, security forces have already stormed the building, although there has been no formal confirmation. Last Saturday the National Security Service gave time for the gunmen to surrender and threatened to use force if they do not.
