SVR doesn't comment on accusations made by Hillary Clinton
MOSCOW. Aug 1 (Interfax) - The Russian Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) refrains from commenting on the allegations made by Hillary Clinton, who accused Russian intelligence of hacking the servers of the U.S. Democratic Party.
"We will not comment on such statements by a U.S. presidential candidate," Sergei Ivanov, head of the SVR press bureau, told Interfax on Monday.
The website WikiLeaks earlier published electronic correspondence of the U.S. Democratic Party, details of which caused the resignation of the head of the party's national committee and triggered accusations against Hillary Clinton that the party administration de facto worked for her during the primaries.
Hilary Clinton accused Russia of hacking the servers, saying that it wanted to help her Republican rival Donald Trump in the elections.
The Russian authorities earlier called such accusations ungrounded.
