Ukraine slashes gas imports 63% in January-July

KYIV. Aug 1 (Interfax) - Ukraine reduced imports of natural gas by 63% or 5.938 bcm in January-July 2016 year-on-year to 3.417 billion cubic meters (bcm), a Ukrtransagaz spokesman said.

Ukraine imported 0.409 bcm of gas in July 2016, 28.4% less than the 0.571 bcm imported in July 2015. Five companies, including Naftogaz Ukrainy, imported gas in July.
