CAS allows Russian swimmer Yefimova to compete at Rio Olympics
MOSCOW. Aug 5 (Interfax) - The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) partially upheld the appeal filed by Russian swimmer Yulia Yefimova, who was banned from competing at the 2016 Summer Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, the court said on its website.
"The appeal has been partially upheld," it said.
An independent commission of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) will now have to make a final decision on whether to clear Yefimova for the Games.
Yefimova, 24, is a bronze medalist of the 2012 Olympic Games in London and is a four-time world champion.
