Fmr Rosneft VP Peter O'Brien nominated for TransContainer board
MOSCOW. Aug 8 (Interfax) - Peter O'Brien, a former vice president of oil giant Rosneft , has been nominated for election to the board of directors at rail container freight operator TransContainer , TransContainer said in a statement.
A source at TransContainer told Interfax that Transfingroup, which is close to the Blagosostoyanie non-state pension fund, nominated O'Brien. He has chaired the board at Transfin-M, which the fund controls, for a number of years.
TransContainer's current board at a meeting on August 5 discussed candidates for the new board that will be elected at an extraordinary shareholders meeting on September 9. A source familiar with the operator's business has told Interfax that the meeting was convoked on the FESCO transport group's initiative. Shareholders on record as of July 11 are entitled to vote.
