Avtovaz sales in Russia grow 3.9% to 21,754 in July - AEB
MOSCOW. Aug 8 (Interfax) - Avtovaz saw sales in Russia grow 3.9% year-on-year in July to 21,754 automobiles, the Automobile Manufacturers Committee of the Association of European Businesses (AEB) said.
The sales of Lada Granta fell 30% in July to 6,334 cars, the model was the third bestseller on the Russian market. For the 7M sales fell 31% to 50,301 cars (second place).
Sales of the Lada Vesta totaled 5,198 in July, the fourth bestseller on the Russian market, and up from 5,128 units sold in June and 3,752 in May. A total of 28,092 Lada Vestas were sold in 7M 2016
Sales of the Lada Largus declined 7.3% in July to 2,514 units, placing it ninth among the top sellers. Sales in 7M 2016 dropped 23.7% to 17,061 units.
Sales of the Lada 4x4 declined 6.5% in July to 2,035, the 14th bestselling model in Russia. Sales in 7M 2016 dropped 31% to 15,102.
Avtovaz sold 1,885 Lada Kalinas, down from 2,849 in July 2015, making it the 15th bestselling model. Sales in Jan-July plunged to 12,476 from 23,730 a year earlier.
The Lada Priora was in 19th place, with sales totaling 1,398 units in July, down 61% year-on-year. Sales in 7M 2016 tumbled 43% to 9,702.
