Kazakhstan may tax online transactions of Apple and Google
ASTANA. Aug 10 (Interfax) - The State Revenue Committee of the Kazakh Ministry of Finance proposes taxation of online transactions involving Apple and Google, Committee chairperson Daulet Yergozhin said.
"We intend to introduce a tax regime for Apple and Google online transactions. This issue was resolved in Russia. We are now looking into the situation and will invite representatives of these companies [Apple and Google] for a 'roundtable' talk in September in order to discuss how this should be done," Yergozhin told a Wednesday press conference in Astana.
"In any case they [Google and Apple] should pay taxes [in Kazakhstan]," he said.
