Indian PM plans to meet with Putin during G20 summit
MOSCOW/NEW DELHI. Aug 10 (Interfax) - Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi expects to have a bilateral meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin during the G20 summit in September.
Addressing Putin during a video conference dealing with the transfer of the first power unit of the Kudankulam Nuclear Power Plant to India on Wednesday, Modi said he was looking forward to meeting with Putin during the G20 summit in China.
During the video conference, the Indian prime minister often switched to the Russian language to thank Russia and Putin in particular for participation in the NPP commissioning ceremony and for Russia's support for India's plans to develop its civilian nuclear power industry.
