Kazakh PM comes to Sochi to attend Eurasian Economic Union intergovernmental council meeting

ASTANA. Aug 11 (Interfax) - Kazakh Prime Minister Karim Masimov arrived in Sochi on Thursday to take part in a meeting of the prime ministers of the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU), the Kazakh prime ministerial press service reported on Thursday.

The EEU prime ministers plan to consider important aspects of economic integration, including the final dates of the EEU Customs Code's adoption, it said.

The participants in the meeting will also consider control over the movement of goods within the EEU borders and control over the circulation of medicines.

Special significance will be attached to trade in the EEU customs territory in light of Kazakhstan's accession to the World Trade Organization (WTO), it said.

The EEU members are Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Russia.
