Russia banning imports from three Belarusian dairy plants as of Aug 13
MOSCOW. Aug 12 (Interfax) - Russia's Federal Veterinary and Phyto-Sanitary Oversight Service (Rosselkhoznadzor) is banning imports of products from three Belarusian dairy plants effective August 13.
Imports will be banned from Volkovysk-based Bellakt, Rogachev Milk Canning Plant and Kalinkovichi Dairy Plant because of multiple violations of Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) and Russian standards in the products of these producers, the watchdog said.
Rosselkhoznadzor has also sent its Belarusian counterpart a letter on the results of an analysis of the case materials, including copies of compliance declarations, unscheduled audit acts and protocols from tests of powdered milk products, presented for the plants against which there complaints. The watchdog said it insists on an investigation into each listed violation.
Rosselkhoznadzor's complaints concern the fact that a number of plants whose product compliance declarations were revoked by the Belarusian veterinary service reprocessed these documents a few days later without product inspections, misleading the Belarusian and Russian watchdogs.
Declarations were recalled from 15 plants.
