Russian Paralympic Committee president urges officials mentioned in McLaren report to clarify doping allegations
MOSCOW. Aug 24 (Interfax) - Officials and members of Russian organizations mentioned in the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) Independent Person Report should clarify their position on the doping allegations made in it, Russian Paralympic Committee President Vladimir Lukin said.
"I believe and urge the Russian people mentioned in the McLaren report to help the Paralympians as soon as possible clarify the situation concerning doping abuse to the extent concerning the said organizations known to you and the said individuals known to you," Lukin said at a press conference on Wednesday.
"In my opinion, it is a matter of honor for the officials and organizations to clarify what happened, why it happened, and whether it happened at all, and it is only then that we will be able to answer questions that were difficult to answer," he said.
