ISIL supporter from Georgia killed in Syria - media
TBILISI. Aug 25 (Interfax) - Sultan Gumashvili, 21, a resident of Georgia's Pankisi Gorge, was killed in Syria, the Georgian media reported on Wednesday.
According to media reports, Gumashvili had fought on the side of the terrorist organization Islamic State. The media reported, citing eyewitnesses, that Gumashvili and his father went to Turkey in 2013 and that Gumashvili later went to Syria.
According to the media, over 20 residents of the Pankisi Gorge were killed in Syria while fighting on the side of ISIL (banned in Russia) in the course of the military action.
