DPR reports Ukrainian sniper attack
DONETSK. Sept 1 (Interfax) - A civilian has been injured on the western edge of Donetsk as a result of a sniper attack launched from the town of Maryinka occupied by Ukrainian troops, the Donetsk news agency said, citing the operational command of the self-proclaimed Donetsk people's republic (DPR).
"A civilian, born 1977, sustained a perforating gunshot wound as a result of being shot by a sniper from the Maryinka area in the village of Oleksandrivka in the Petrovsky district of Donetsk at 6:35 p.m.," a source said.
Members of the Contact Group on Ukraine earlier stressed the need for indefinite ceasefire in the Donbas conflict zone with the start of a new academic year.
